New Development 2015 | Downtown San Diego 92101 | BOSA

Bosa-Development In a 2011 Union Tribune article discussing the future of development in Downtown San Diego, Nat Bosa said “There’s sunshine on the other side, it’s peeking through. It’s time you put your sunscreen on.”

Four long years later and 6 years after his last high end luxury community was completed, the ground has been broken on what is slated to be Downtown’s most luxurious community at the Santa Fe Depot Parcel #9 at the corner of Pacific Highway & Broadway in the Columbia District.

With it’s unique oval shaped design it’s said that the building will mirror the dynamic form of waves and geometry of seashells. It will soar 440 feet above ground with 41 stories and 232 residential condo units. The floor plans will range from 954 to 2,503 square feet with a majority of the condos in the 1,300 to 1,750 range. Pricing is rumored to start around $750,000 for lower level units. Downtown pricing is vertical so be prepared to see these list over $1,000 sq ft!

The Columbia District is sandwiched between Little Italy and the Marina District and runs parallel to the Embarcadero. After years of being in the shadows the Columbia District is gaining momentum. With Doug Manchester developing the area of the Navy Broadway complex into incredible mixed use space of offices, restaurants, boutique hotels, and retail, the Columbia District will soon have the perfect mix of residential and entertainment our residents are craving.

The future is bright, it’s definitely time to wear shades.
